Case No. 2345: She longs to be discharged and return home. We sincerely appeal to kind-hearted members of the public to help raise RM3,500 for a feeding pump and oxygen cylinder so that 6-year-old AISYAH WARDAH BINTI MOHD ALIFF IRWAN can fulfil her wish.
The hospital has agreed to let her return home to continue recovering, but an oxygen concentrator, oxygen cylinder and feeding pump must be prepared before she can be safely discharged. We can provide an oxygen concentrator on free loan, but the other two medical equipment items need to be purchased.
【She has been hospitalised for four months.】
At such a young age, AISYAH WARDAH has already undergone two surgeries and 11 rounds of chemotherapy, yet the cancer has returned twice.
Now, all she wants is to go home and be with her family. What she misses most is being at home with her worried family, not toys or snacks.
【Her fight against cancer has been harder than what most adults could bear.】
In October last year, AISYAH WARDAH began experiencing recurrent fevers, abdominal pain, a drastic loss of weight and gradually yellowing skin. The test results came as a devastating blow — she was diagnosed with Stage 3 hepatoblastoma, a type of liver cancer.
After 11 rounds of chemotherapy, she underwent surgery to remove the right side of her liver together with the tumour. Hope lasted for only two months before the cancer returned. Just two weeks after a second surgery to remove part of the middle section of her liver, the cancer returned for the second time.
Now, the left side of her liver has swollen again, and the cancer cells have spread to her lungs and leg bones. A liver transplant is no longer possible.
The illness has taken away her smile. Her once round and healthy-looking face have become increasingly thin, while her abdomen has become swollen. When the pain becomes severe, she cannot even lie flat and can only sleep on her knees — the only position that gives her a little relief.
【Please help her return home soon.】
AISYAH WARDAH is the second child in her family. She has a 9-year-old older brother and a younger brother who is only 9 months old.
Her father, MOHD ALIFF IRWAN BIN JAAFAR, 39 years old, is a police officer with a limited income. Her mother, NURHAYATI BINTI IBRAHIM, 35 years old, is unable to work as she needs to care for her children. The family relies solely on the father's modest salary, government assistance and support from neighbours to make ends meet.
Faced with the cost of the medical equipment needed for their daughter's return home, the family can no longer afford the expenses and has no choice but to seek assistance from us.
After reviewing the case, we have decided to raise funds for the medical equipment AISYAH WARDAH needs to continue her recovery at home.
Fundraising target: RM3,500
• Feeding pump — RM2,500
• Oxygen cylinder — RM1,000
We sincerely appeal to everyone to donate and share this message. Every act of kindness gives AISYAH WARDAH the strength to keep going and brings this family a precious ray of hope.
