SKU: Case-2299

Case No. 2299: The little girl, Ciin Don Lun, a Myanmar national, sustained burn injuries across her left abdomen, left waist, and the front and outer side of her left thigh, extending to her right waist and buttock area. The injuries cause her continuous and intense pain, forcing her to endure suffering that even many adults would find unbearable.

[She was not misbehaving but just a child.]

On the evening of the accident, her mother, Kham Sian Kim (22 years old), had just finished preparing dinner and briefly returned to the kitchen to clean up. During those few unattended minutes, her two young children climbed onto chairs to play. Tragically, they accidentally knocked over a bowl of hot soup that had been placed on the table.

The scalding soup poured directly onto Ciin Don Lun's body. Her cries echoed throughout the house. By the time her mother rushed out, the accident had already happened.

In a state of panic, the mother immediately called her husband and applied toothpaste to her daughter's burns in an attempt to ease the pain. When her husband returned home, they rushed their daughter to the hospital. Fortunately, their one-year-old younger daughter was not injured in the incident.

[11% of her body sustained serious burns.]

Upon arrival at the hospital, Ciin Don Lun was diagnosed with Major Burn Injury TBSA 11% Deep Partial Thickness Burn Over Lower Trunk and Bilateral Lower Limbs.

The burns have caused visible wounds and relentless pain. Even the slightest movement can cause her to cry out in agony. Her parents can do nothing but hold and comfort her, unable to take away the suffering she endures every day.

[A family unable to bear the financial burden.]

Her father, Vum Sawn Lal (33 years old), works as a restaurant waiter and earns a modest income. Her mother stays at home to care for their two young children. The family of four survives on a single income. Now faced with RM20,000 in surgery and treatment expenses, they find themselves unable to afford the medical care their daughter urgently needs. With no other option, they are reaching out to the public for help.

[Please help her through this difficult time.]
