Fundraising Case 2251 Liew For Hin
Life has a beginning and an end, but some departures come too suddenly, without even a chance to say goodbye. Mr. Liew For Hin collapsed while having breakfast and passed away quietly in the hospital, leaving no last words. We sincerely appeal for donations to help cover his funeral expenses and to give him a dignified final farewell.
Case No. 2251: On the morning of 27 March 2026, 64-year-old lorry driver Mr. Liew For Hin walked into a coffee shop and ordered a simple breakfast. No one could have imagined that this would be his last meal.
He suddenly collapsed at his seat. The coffee shop owner immediately administered first aid and called an ambulance. The owner also urgently contacted Mr. Liew’s girlfriend, Ms. Tee Bee Wah. However, by the time she arrived, Mr. Liew had already fallen into a coma, and his limbs were gradually turning cold.
During the journey to the hospital, medical personnel continued resuscitation efforts. Unfortunately, about ten minutes after arrival, Mr. Liew passed away. There were no final words, no last instructions. His life ended abruptly.
Mr. Liew had been working as a lorry driver, earning only a modest income sufficient for basic living. His parents had long passed away, and his siblings could not be contacted.
After efforts by the police, the three children who had been out of contact for 10 years—two daughters and a son, Liu Wei Ming —were finally located. However, as he works as a casual laborer, his income is insufficient to cover his father’s funeral expenses, and his sisters are also financially unable to help. Meanwhile, Liew For Hin’s girlfriend, Tee Bee Wah , is just an ordinary employee working at a coffee shop with very limited savings, and is unable to afford the sudden funeral costs.
This unexpected loss has left them in deep grief and helplessness. In their sorrow, they have reached out to us, hoping that the public will extend a helping hand so that Mr. Liew can rest in peace soon.
According to the death report, Mr. Liew passed away at 8:24 a.m. on 27 March due to geriatric disease.
We will be handling all funeral arrangements, including body transfer, prayer ceremony and cremation. We sincerely appeal to kind-hearted individuals nationwide to come forward and help, so that Mr. Liew may still feel the kindness of humanity at the end of his life.
Kindly contact any of the social workers for more details if you wish to sponsor the full funeral expenses. Thank you.
We will hold the prayer ceremony for the deceased on Friday, 3 April, at Jinjang Funeral Parlour, Kuala Lumpur (Hall 6). The cremation will take place on Saturday, 4 April, after which the ashes will be collected and arranged by the family.
