FUNDRAISING CASE 2248 WONG PEI LIN & WONG PEI HUI
Two young sisters are suffering from flat feet. As they are still in their developmental stage, timely treatment is essential. We sincerely appeal to kind-hearted individuals nationwide to contribute RM1,500 to help them obtain two pairs of custom-made special insoles.
Case No. 2248: 12-year-old Wong Pei Lin and 10-year-old Wong Pei Hui are lively and intelligent, and it is hard to imagine that they are struggling with foot-related issues. We hope the public can extend care and support to help them walk more steadily and face fewer discomforts and obstacles as they grow.
Although flat feet is not considered a serious medical condition, if left untreated, it can affect walking posture and may lead to discomfort in the legs and back over time.
[Two Young Sisters are Adjusting Sleeping Positions Due to Discomfort]
Their mother, Tan Swee Huang (47 years old), noticed that Pei Lin often sleeps on her stomach, as it helps relieve her back discomfort. Recently, the younger sister, Pei Hui, has also started sleeping in the same position due to similar discomfort.
Although the children do not openly complain of pain, they are quietly trying to cope in their own ways, which deeply worries their mother.
[Financial Difficulties Faced by the Family]
To prevent the condition from worsening and causing further health issues, the parents followed the doctor’s advice to have custom-made insoles prepared for each daughter.
However, the mother works in sales, while the father, Wong Meng Kong (46 years old), is a renovation worker with unstable income, earning only when there is work available. Due to their limited income, the family of four rents a single small room and lives in cramped conditions. The additional cost for the daughters’ special insoles has become a financial burden beyond their means.
With limited savings and ongoing financial hardship, the parents have no choice but to seek help, hoping their children can grow up with greater comfort and without harm to their health.

After discussion, we have decided to launch this fundraising effort to help provide the sisters with two pairs of Total Contact Insoles (TCI):2 × RM750, totaling RM1,500.
