FUNDRAISING CASE 2206 MUHAMMAD IKRAM

A baby boy’s life is in critical danger. At just two months old, he is battling sepsis secondary to enterocolitis. As his tiny body grows weaker and thinner by the day, he can do little but cry in pain. We earnestly appeal to kind-hearted members of the public to extend a helping hand and assist in raising RM5,000 in medical and medication expenses for MUHAMMAD IKRAM MUHAMMAD AYUB, so that he may overcome this immediate crisis.
SKU: Case-2206
Case No. 2206:Due to severe malnutrition, his body is extremely frail and emaciated. Doctors are only able to find veins in his tiny feet to administer injections. The sudden and overwhelming medical costs have plunged this already impoverished family into deep distress.

[Illness came too early: A life unsettled from birth.]
Just a few weeks after birth, baby MUHAMMAD IKRAM was admitted to the intensive care unit due to vomiting and fever, where he remained for a full month. Less than a week after being discharged, he was rushed back to the hospital with recurring fever, vomiting, and abdominal discomfort. He was then diagnosed with sepsis secondary to enterocolitis and now relies on intravenous antibiotics to control his condition.

[A fragile body, a strong will to survive.]
Severely undernourished and underweight, his cry is weak and faint. His skull and chest bones are clearly visible. Because his veins are too small, doctors can only administer medication through his tiny feet. To sustain his nutrition, doctors have recommended tube feeding with special formula milk.

Whenever his pain eases even slightly, the baby gently turns his head in search of his mother—the only moment when he feels safe. His mother, BIBI ABUL HASHIM (23 years old), can only watch her baby endure such suffering, her heart breaking beyond words.

[A family struck twice: An elder sister lost to the same illness.]
MUHAMMAD IKRAM is the youngest in the family. He has two sisters, one of whom tragically passed away from the same illness. Now, fear once again looms over the household. His father, MUHAMMAD AYUB IBRAHIM (25 years old), was forced to resign from his job as a warehouse assistant in order to accompany his wife and children to the hospital and take care of their elder daughter.

The family is Myanmar nationals with UNHCR refugee status. A family of four survives only on limited savings and assistance from friends. Faced with sudden medical and medication expenses, they are no longer able to cope and can only turn to us for help.
