Case No. 2194: As the Lunar New Year approaches, families are preparing for the festivities and looking forward to reunion. However, this elderly man with no family or relatives, Ee Kim Lock, will never live to see the New Year. We sincerely appeal to kind-hearted individuals nationwide to contribute towards his funeral arrangements, so that the deceased may finally rest in peace.
He passed away quietly at a temple on 15 January 2026. When temple staff were distributing food as usual, they discovered that he had already stopped breathing and that his body had turned cold. The temple immediately reported the incident to the police, and medical personnel later arrived to conduct an examination and confirmed his death. At that moment, the atmosphere was heavy and deeply heartbreaking.
Ee Kim Lock was a homeless elderly man who had lived in the temple for many years. He helped with simple chores in exchange for a place to stay and spent his remaining years there, occasionally relying on assistance from kind-hearted members of the public to survive.
Unfortunately, the temple was unable to contact any of his family members, and no one knew about his life story. He came into this world alone and left it quietly, without anyone by his side.
Now that he has passed away, there is no one to handle his funeral arrangements. In their helplessness, the temple staff entrusted us to assist in managing his funeral, hoping that we could help him complete the last journey of his life with peace.
According to the death report, Mr. Ee Kim Lock passed away at 12:30 pm on 15 January 2026 due to geriatric diseases.
We are handling the whole funeral process for the deceased, which includes body transfer, prayer ceremony, and cremation. We sincerely call upon everyone to donate to the funeral so he can rest in peace soon.

The prayer ceremony will be held at Kwong Tong Funeral Parlour (Hall H) on Friday, January 16, 2026, followed by cremation on Saturday, January 17, 2026. The ashes will be placed Kwong Tong Cemetery Kuala Lumpur.
