FUNDRAISING CASE 2173 ADELYNN YIP JIA XUAN

Adelynn Yip Jia Xuan, a 5-year-old girl, underwent surgery shortly after birth due to hydrocephalus. The operation saved her life, but it could not stop the condition from affecting her development. She now needs a special wheelchair, and her family hopes that kind-hearted people nationwide will bless her with love and support, helping her continue living a better life.
SKU: Case-2173
Case No. 2173:
[Illness has followed her since birth.]
When Adelynn was only three weeks old, her parents noticed her head was unusually swollen. Doctors later confirmed that she had hydrocephalus and immediately performed surgery, saving her life.
Her journey growing up has been filled with hardships. Her development suffers significantly. She struggles to control her limbs independently and can only speak simple sentences. Her height and weight are far behind other children her age. Although her parents initially suspected dwarfism, further examinations confirmed that she has cerebral palsy, secondary to bilateral periventricular leukomalacia (PVL).

[A childhood without joy.]
At the age of five, a child should be running around the playground and laughing under the sun. But for Adelynn, these are distant dreams. She cannot walk or stand on her own. She can only sit and watch her siblings playing from a distance.
Her world is quiet and lonely. Only in her mother’s arms does she feel warmth and security. Whenever she sees children her age jumping and playing, she can only look at her mother with her innocent eyes as if saying, “I want to play too.”

[A family’s strength and struggle.]
Adelynn is the youngest of four siblings. She has an 11-year-old brother and two sisters aged 9 and 8. Her father, Yip Chee Kong (47 years old), is a technician, and her mother, Yong Yen Loo (37 years old), is a housewife. The family of six survives solely on the father’s modest income.

Although he works hard to ensure the family has enough to eat, the long-term cost of Adelynn’s medical care has exceeded what the family can bear. At this moment, they are unable to afford a special wheelchair for her.

Previously, with the help of friends, Adelynn used a baby walker, but it is no longer suitable.
To ensure Adelynn can move safely and comfortably, her mother sought assistance from us. We have decided to launch this fundraising campaign to purchase a 15-inch lightweight tilt-and-space wheelchair with a custom seating and positioning system for her.

Please extend your helping hand to this strong and lovable girl. Your kindness can bring her the precious gift of mobility and independence. We also sincerely request everyone to share this appeal so that Adelynn can receive help as soon as possible. Your love and generosity will brighten her little world. Thank you.
