Fundraising Case 2168 Ooi Lai Heng
We sincerely appeal to kind-hearted people to help cover the funeral expense so that 70-year-old Mr. Ooi Lai Heng may complete his final journey with peace, and so his family will no longer be left helpless.
Case No. 2168:Mr. Ooi Lai Heng was previously diagnosed with cancer, and his heart function had been gradually weakening. On 9 December, he experienced severe breathing difficulties and rushed to the hospital. Doctors did their best to save him, but due to bacterial infection and multiple organ failure leading to septic shock, he sadly passed away the following afternoon.
According to the death report, Mr. Ooi Lai Heng passed away at 2:40 PM on 10 December due to septic shock secondary to multiorgan failure.
During his life, Mr. Ooi was a hardworking and humble man. He is the pillar of his family. However, in his later years, prolonged illness had drained the family’s finances. His wife is a housewife with no income; his eldest son, Ooi Siong Hoe, is an unmarried lorry driver who has supported the family of four for years with his modest wages, while his youngest son is currently unemployed and without income.
With their father’s sudden passing, the funeral costs have become a burden too heavy for the family to bear. In desperation, the eldest son has reached out to us for assistance, hoping to give his father a proper farewell, without leaving regrets on the final journey of his life.
We are handling the whole funeral process for the deceased, which includes body transfer, prayer ceremony, and cremation. We sincerely call upon everyone to donate to the funeral so he can rest in peace soon.
If anyone is interested in donating the entire funeral, please contact any of us for more information. Thank you.
The prayer ceremony will be held at Kwong Tong Funeral Parlour (Hall J) on Friday, December 12, 2025, followed by cremation on Saturday, December 13, 2025. The ashes will be placed by his family.
