Case No. 2153：QAAYED HARITH BIN AHMAD AZIZUL is a premature child with Down syndrome who urgently needs special medication, six months’ worth of special milk formula, and diapers to survive. His family is appealing to kind-hearted individuals to donate RM10,210.80 to help him continue living.
[A heartbreaking condition]
QAAYED HARITH was delivered at only 30 weeks of pregnancy, weighing just 1.29 kg. Due to extreme prematurity, he was born with multiple congenital conditions. The most serious being Spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy. Doctors have prescribed Clostridium Botulinum Toxin Type A (Botox A) to relieve his severe muscle stiffness and contractions. Without it, even basic surgeries would be impossible to perform.
[Unable to regulate body temperature]
His mother, SITI SUHAILA BINTI TAJUDIN (42 years old), still tears up when recalling the day she gave birth. All prenatal checkups were normal, yet at 30 weeks, she was suddenly told her baby’s vital signs were weakening, and an emergency caesarean was required.
Since birth, QAAYED’s weight has remained low, and he can only be fed through a tube. Most distressing of all, he cannot regulate his body temperature. He wears only diapers, his body is constantly overheated. Doctors also discovered a protruding pelvis that requires corrective surgery, but only after his tight muscles are sufficiently relaxed.
[Completely dependent]
For eight years, QAAYED has been entirely dependent on others. His hands cannot straighten, his legs are deformed, and he drools continuously.
Yet, he can still feel his mother’s love. Whenever she holds him, he calms down, as if knowing he is safe in her arms. His mother’s heart aches deeply, but she has no choice but to face this cruel reality.
[A family under heavy burden]
QAAYED is the family’s only son, with two elder sisters aged 15 and 14, both still in school. His father, AHMAD AZIZUL (42 years old), works as a salesman with a meagre income, while his mother devotes all her time to caring for him and cannot work.
The family is struggling to cope with the high cost of medical care and daily living expenses. Out of options, they are now seeking us for help, and we decided to launch this crowdfunding appeal, hoping society will lend a helping hand to save their beloved son.
