FUNDRAISING CASE 2135 YEW SIN KIAN
Please help save a helpless elderly patient! In old age, the greatest suffering comes from illness and helplessness. Mr. Yew Sin Kian, a 70-year-old man, urgently needs an oxygen concentrator in order to be discharged from the hospital and wait at home for a vascular surgery. We sincerely appeal for donations of RM4,500 from kind-hearted people nationwide to help him through this critical time.
Case No. 2135: He was rushed to the hospital after suffering from sleep apnea. Without an oxygen concentrator, the doctor will not allow him to return home.
[Doctor’s instruction: an oxygen concentrator is a must after discharge.]
Mr. Yew and his 58-year-old wife, Ms. Teh Woan Huey, depend entirely on each other. They have no children and are each other’s only support.
He suffers from multiple illnesses, including Decompensated Heart Failure, which has also led to Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome. His health has been deteriorating. On August 11, his condition worsened, and he was admitted to the hospital in an emergency. The doctor advised that he must undergo vascular surgery soon and repeatedly reminded them that he will need an oxygen concentrator after discharge to ensure smooth breathing. However, this sudden medical expense has left the couple completely overwhelmed. The date of the surgery is still being arranged.
[A devoted wife was exhausted by hospital runs.]
During his hospitalization, Ms. Teh has been traveling frequently between the hospital and home to take care of everything for her husband. She knows very well that he needs her by his side for peace of mind. She encourages him, comforts him, and tries to ease his worries...
In his younger years, Mr. Yew worked hard as a salesman to provide for his family. But in recent years, his health has declined badly, and he suffers from endless illnesses. Ms. Teh is deeply worried, with only one wish is to see her husband overcome this ordeal.
Currently, they are surviving on their past savings. Yet medical expenses have gradually drained what little they had, leaving them unable to afford an oxygen concentrator. In desperation, they turned to us for help.
[Please extend your helping hand to help this elderly man return home safely.]
We have decided to help Mr. Yew raise funds for an oxygen concentrator (Philips EverFlo 5L, including nasal cannula, humidifier, oxygen cylinder E, trolley, and regulator) costing a total of RM4,500.
We sincerely hope the public can extend a helping hand. Your kindness will give this couple the courage to keep going. Please also help share this appeal so that more love surrounds this elderly man, enabling him to be discharged soon and wait for surgery at home in peace.
