FUNDRAISING CASE 2131 LAW YU XUAN
Little girl Law Yu Xuan, a 2-year-old girl, has already faced many hardships. She is not only a child with Down syndrome but has also lost her hearing and must rely on hearing aids to hear the beautiful sounds of the world. We kindly appeal to the kindhearted public to donate RM 6,000 to help her purchase a pair of hearing aids.
Case No. 2131:At the age of two, children are in their golden years for learning and cognitive development. If she does not receive a hearing aid in time, Yu Xuan may miss the most crucial period for language acquisition. Her parents are desperately anxious but, due to financial constraints, feel helpless in finding a solution.
[A fragile body but burdened with illness.]
Law Yu Xuan Ellysia has a heartbreaking medical history. She suffers from multiple conditions, including Bilateral Hearing Loss with Bilateral Middle Ear Effusion (MEE). Last year, she underwent tracheal surgery due to a narrowing of her airways.
Her mother received regular check-ups during pregnancy and there were no signs of any abnormalities. It wasn’t until Yu Xuan was born that they discovered she had Down syndrome. Due to her congenital condition, her family has given her extra care and attention. Social workers have also observed that she is a lovable and affectionate little girl who enjoys being cuddled and comforted.
Yu Xuan's health is weaker than that of other children her age. She is underweighting and has a poor appetite for formula, so doctors have had to feed her through a catheter to prevent her from becoming increasingly frail.
Yu Xuan is the youngest in her family, with a 16-year-old sister and two brothers aged 14 and 5. Her mother, Chua Kar Yee (35 years old), works as a clerk, while her father, Law Jyh Yong (29 years old), is a baking assistant. With a meager household income, supporting a family of six is a constant struggle. The RM 6,000 needed for hearing aid is far beyond their means.
Yu Xuan's parents have sought our help, and we have decided to launch this crowdfunding campaign to raise the necessary funds to provide this precious and unfortunate little girl with a pair of Digital Hearing Aids. Our hope is that with your kind assistance, Yu Xuan will be able to hear the call of her parents and the warmth of the world and grow up healthily surrounded by love.
