BENEFICIARY PROFILE 2087 SASI KUMAR A/L VATHU MALAI

He has suffered so much, and his legs are already paralysed, and now he must prevent spinal ulcers from causing life-threatening bacterial infections. We sincerely appeal to the generosity of kind-hearted Malaysians to help raise RM12,013.20 for six months’ worth of essential medical supplies to clean and treat his wounds, giving him a chance to stay alive. A sudden and tragic accident pushed 31-year-old Sasi Kumar A/L Vathu Malai into the lowest point of his life, leaving him in constant pain. He still has a long life ahead, but right now his only hope for the future is to keep his severe wounds properly treated.
SKU: Case-2087

Case No. 2087: Sasi Kumar has been diagnosed with a fracture dislocation, a grade 4 sacral sore, and multiple pressure sores. The sacrum is the large triangular bone at the base of the spine, and if it is not cared for properly, the consequences can be devastating.

[A sudden accident shattered his life.]
Sasi Kumar once worked as a hospital security guard. While waiting for his new contract to start, he took a part-time job as a delivery rider to earn extra income for his household. On 14 October last year, while delivering goods, the motorcycle chain suddenly snapped, causing him to lose control and crash into a road divider. Both his legs were badly injured, and a foreign object pierced his spine, causing serious damage.

The tragedy didn’t end there. After surgery, he developed a bacterial infection, which led to vomiting, high fever, and even vision problems. Heartbreakingly, his suffering was made worse by the fact that he lives on the 5th floor of a building with no lift. Now, with paralysed legs, going home has become impossible. He and his wife have been forced to move into his uncle’s home temporarily.

His wife, Kanjana A/P Paramasivam (32 years old), also a former hospital security guard, has resigned to take care of him full-time. The family now has no income. Her only hope is for her husband to continue receiving treatment at the SOCSO rehabilitation Centre, where therapy might one day help him regain some independence.

However, while the rehabilitation centre provides free treatment, it does not cover the cost of medical supplies. In desperation, they have turned to us for help.

[Your helping hand can light the way.]
We are committed to helping Sasi Kumar raise the funds needed for six months of medical supplies to clean and treat his wounds during this critical recovery period. We appeal to the compassion of the public to extend your support, and we also hope you will share his story so more people can see his urgent need.
