FUNDRAISING CASE 2083 LIM OI KUEN
Case No. 2083: Ms. Lim Oi Kuen, a 40-year-old single mother, passed away suddenly due to illness, leaving behind her young and helpless children, one of them just two years old. Her elderly mother, overwhelmed with grief, is now appealing to the kind-hearted public for donations to help cover the funeral expenses so her daughter may rest in peace with dignity.
On the night of July 27, 2025, Ms. Lim tragically collapsed at home after vomiting blood. She was rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment but sadly could not be saved. Her passing came so suddenly that she had no time to leave any final words, leaving her family devastated.
Ms. Lim was a single mother of four, with two of her children still living under her care. According to her mother, Madam Teh Yoke Hwa, Ms. Lim had been battling Stage 4 lung cancer and diabetes. Before falling ill, she worked as a clerk and earned a modest income to support her family. However, her deteriorating health forced her to resign, and for the past six months, she had been relying on her savings and financial help from her sister to get by.
Unfortunately, her sister is also struggling financially and cannot afford the unexpected funeral costs. Holding back her sorrow, Madam Teh has reached out to us with a heartfelt plea to help give her daughter a proper funeral.
According to the death report issued by the hospital, Ms. Lim Oi Kuen passed away at 8:00 PM on July 27 due to complications from diabetes and tuberculosis.
