BENEFICIARY PROFILE 2082 MOHAMAD ZIYAD AMZAR BIN MOHAMAD RAZIF
An 8-year-old boy who lost both his legs is in urgent need of a new pair of prosthetic limbs so he can take confident steps on his journey of growth. We sincerely appeal to kind-hearted individuals across the country to help raise RM11,600 to fulfil his wish and give him the courage to face the future with hope.
Although still very young, he has already lost both legs and even a few fingers. In order to save his life, doctors had no choice but to amputate parts of his body, stripping him of the ability to run, move freely, and enjoy the simple joys of childhood.
Case No. 2082: This brave little boy is Mohamad Ziyad Amzar bin Mohamad Razif. Around the age of two, he suddenly developed a high fever and red rashes all over his body. He was rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with a meningitis infection.
The illness progressed rapidly. Within just 48 hours of diagnosis, necrosis began to set in. Over the next two weeks, his condition worsened. Faced with the risk of the infection spreading further, his parents made the heartbreaking decision to follow the doctor’s advice and amputate several of his fingers. Ziyad’s first amputation at such a young age.
But the nightmare didn’t end there. A month later, the necrosis spread to his legs. There was no choice but to amputate both legs, forcing him to say goodbye to his once-whole body and the carefree childhood he deserved.
[His old prosthetics can no longer support his growing body.]
At the age of 4, Ziyad received his first pair of prosthetic limbs. With determination, he learnt to walk again. But now, his growing body has outpaced those early prosthetics. They no longer fit properly, making every step a struggle and even risking injury.
His mother shares with concern that the metal plates in his legs are now affecting his movement. A corrective surgery is scheduled for August, after which he will need a new pair of custom-made prosthetics. But for that to happen, he needs our help.
[Your kindness can light the way for Ziyad.]
Ziyad is the youngest of three children. He has two older sisters who are still in school. His father, Mohamad Razif bin Razali (43 years old), works in a factory, while his mother, Kaasnida binti Mohamed Nazar (37 years old), had to quit her job to care for Ziyad full-time. The family of five survives on a modest single income, and their savings have long been depleted.
Feeling lost and helpless, the family has reached out to us for help. We are now launching a crowdfunding campaign to raise RM11,600 for a new pair of prosthetic limbs tailored to Ziyad’s needs so he can once again walk confidently on his own.
Every donation is a step forward for Ziyad’s future. Every share of this message helps spread hope even further. Thank you.
