She is the unfortunate daughter of WAHYU PUTRI NINGSIH. Her parents have not even had the chance to give her a name yet; her tiny body is already covered with tubes and wires as she lies in a small hospital bed, battling for every minute of life. She was born prematurely after inhaling waste matter in the womb, which has caused multiple health complications.
Case No. 2040: The baby girl is now one month old. She should be safely asleep in her parents’ loving arms. However, due to her critical condition, she cannot go home. She has been diagnosed with clinical Down syndrome, ventricular septal defect (VSD), and atrial septal defect (ASD), although surgery is not required at this stage. She is also suffering from neonatal encephalopathy with multi-organ damage and meningitis. Additionally, a bacterial infection has led to serious lung issues, requiring her to remain in the hospital for continued treatment.

When 25-year-old mother WAHYU PUTRI NINGSIH heard the diagnosis, she couldn’t hold back her tears. The baby is the couple’s first child. They had long looked forward to it. They never expect such difficult their situation would become.
The young couple is struggling. The father, FARUK (21 years old), works as a renovation labourer with low and unstable income. In a desperate attempt to cover hospital costs, he once worked 24 hours straight just to earn a small sum. The mother gave up her cleaning job after becoming pregnant.
Despite all hardships, they have lived hard, but their baby’s medical bills have already far exceeded what they can afford. With nowhere else to turn, they reached out to us for help.
