Tracheal respiratory function has only 20% left, and she urgently seeks help! Ms. Chew Hui Yew, a lung cancer patient, urgently needs RM 4500 to purchase an oxygen concentrator to save her life. We earnestly implore kind-hearted individuals nationwide to generously donate.

Case No. 1832: Ms. Chew Hui Yew, aged 48, has endured over 30 rounds of radiation therapy, yet she remains resilient and optimistic. However, due to frequent radiation therapy sessions, her trachea has narrowed, leading to difficulty breathing. She urgently requires an oxygen concentrator to assist her breathing. However, after coping with the substantial expenses of cancer treatment, the family has depleted their savings. We sincerely implore everyone to help.

Her lung cancer cells have metastasized to the lymph nodes, thoracic cavity, and other parts of her body. The hospital can only manage her advanced lung cancer with radiation therapy.

Ms. Chew diligently follows the doctors’ treatment plan. However, when the doctors advised her to rely on an oxygen concentrator for breathing, both she and her husband felt saddened and helpless, as they could not afford it. Upon learning about their plight, the social workers of Da Ai discovered that, after coping with the costs of frequent radiation therapy and treatments, Ms. Chew and her husband, Mr. Lee Kok Fatt, are heavily indebted. Feeling utterly helpless, their daughter, Esther, called Da Ai for assistance.

Before Ms. Chew fell ill, she and her husband, Lee Kok Fatt, ran a noodle stall business together for many years, sharing a deep bond. Her husband is deeply grieved by her illness. According to Ms. Chew’s account, she began feeling unwell frequently in 2021, and by 2022, her condition had worsened. She had a persistent cough, chest pain when taking deep breaths, loss of appetite, weight loss, and extreme fatigue every day. One day, she discovered swollen lymph nodes and went to the hospital for tests, only to be diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. Now, Ms. Chew’s trachea is severely constricted, necessitating the use of an oxygen concentrator to sustain her breathing.

At the request of the couple, we are initiating a crowdfunding campaign for the cost of the oxygen concentrator. It includes:

Philip Everflo (5L) oxygen concentrator, along with a nasal cannula (one), a humidifier (one), an E-size oxygen cylinder (one), and an adjustable oxygen concentrator trolley. Priced at RM 4500.

We earnestly implore kind-hearted individuals nationwide to donate generously to help Ms. Chew Hui Yew through her toughest times. We also appeal to the compassionate individuals watching this video to share this message of appeal so that more people can lend a helping hand and assist her in purchasing the oxygen concentrator as soon as possible. Thank you.
