Case No. 1795: Little baby VIGNESWAR is unable to consume regular food due to infective acute gastroenteritis and secondary lactose intolerance. He can only consume expensive, special formula milk, which his impoverished family cannot afford. We appeal to everyone to assist in ensuring the baby grows up safely.

Baby boy VIGNESWAR A/L KALAICHELVAN started experiencing rectal bleeding last November for unknown reasons. His worried mother promptly took him to the hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, two days after discharge, the baby experienced rectal bleeding again, accompanied by persistent diarrhea and crying. Seeing this, mother MILDWINDER KAUR had no choice but to take the baby back to the hospital for a detailed examination.

Medical reports indicate that the baby suffers from Infective Acute Gastroenteritis and Secondary Lactose Intolerance, preventing him from consuming regular formula milk. He must drink special-formulated milk to alleviate his condition.

The baby has an older brother and sister, both healthy and safe, but VIGNESWAR is causing his mother great concern and distress. Due to the family’s poverty, they all live with their grandmother. The mother takes care of the three young children at home, while the father works as a daily-wage laborer with a meager income. Sustaining the family’s living expenses is already challenging, and they are unable to afford the costly special formula milk. In their sadness and helplessness, they seek assistance from Da Ai.
