Case No. 1724: An elderly lady who was homeless, was sent to a nursing home, where she passed away due to an age-related illness. We earnestly request the help of the enthusiastic public to donate to her funeral.

Ms. Soo Chew Ming, 78 years old, had no place to call home and wandered around, finding shelter and sleeping under bridges and on the roadside. Her situation was dire. In March of this year, she was found unconscious under a bridge, and kind-hearted individuals took her to the hospital for treatment. After being discharged, she was sent to a non-profit nursing home, where she passed away.

Since she had no family to handle her funeral arrangements, we kindly request to help of kind-hearted individuals to donate to her funeral so she can rest in peace soon.

Ms. Soo Chew Ming would beg for money and food from passersby in the Kepong area of Kuala Lumpur. After collapsing under a bridge, she was admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with asthma and diabetes. Upon her discharge, as there was no one to care for her, she was sent to a non-profit nursing home. The hospital's welfare department tried to contact her family, but unfortunately, their efforts were unsuccessful.

In the morning, the nursing home staff attempted to wake Ms. Soo Chew Ming but found her unconscious. They immediately contacted a nearby hospital, and when the medical staff arrived, she was rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her illness and passed away.

According to the death report, Ms. Soo Chew Ming passed away on 26th of June at 12:45 PM due to old age, diabetes, and asthma.

Since there are no family members to handle the funeral arrangements, we are handling the whole funeral process for Ms Soo Chew Ming, which includes body transfer, cremation, prayer ceremony, and ashes placement. We sincerely call upon everyone to donate to the funeral so she can rest in peace soon.

If anyone is interested in donating for the whole funeral, kindly contact any social workers at Da Ai for more information. Thank you.

Da Ai will conduct a prayer ceremony for the late Ms. Soo Chew Ming at Gui Yuan Funeral Parlour in Petaling Jaya on June 29th (Thursday) in Hall 3. The cremation will take place on June 30th (Friday), where the ashes will be scattered into the sea, allowing the departed to return to the embrace of nature and find eternal peace.
