Case No. 1722: Appeal for financial assistance in funeral arrangements for the homeless man, so that he may rest in peace soon.
Ng Kim Eng (52 years old) was a pitiable homeless man without a fixed abode. Earlier this month, he passed away inside a crude tent next to an old car parts collection factory. His body remained undiscovered for several days, and decomposition had already set in. As there is no one to handle the funeral arrangements, Da Ai has decided to give him a proper send-off. We earnestly request that kind-hearted individuals donate to his funeral so that the departed may find peace soon.
According to the factory owner of the car parts collection factory, the deceased wandered here five years ago and noticed the empty land adjacent to the factory, where he set up a crude tent to reside.
Out of pity for Mr. Ng's plight, the factory owner would occasionally give him some old scrap metal to sell to the scrapyard, earning him a small income for his livelihood. Mr. Ng had no friends or relatives with whom he interacted regularly.
Sometimes, the factory owner would try to engage in small talk with him, but he rarely responded. He would often sit silently in his tent, his eyes lost in a vacant gaze towards the sky.
In the first week of June, coinciding with a public holiday, after a three-day leave, the factory owner returned to find Mr. Ng lying lifeless inside the tent. He immediately contacted the hospital, and upon the arrival of medical staff, it was confirmed that Mr. Ng had passed away several days prior and that his body had already begun to decompose.
According to the death report, Ng Kim Eng passed away on the evening of June 5th at 6:50 PM due to a perforated gastric ulcer.
Upon learning of this tragic news, we, Da Ai, made the decision to assist in handling all the necessary arrangements following the passing of Ng Kim Eng, which include body transfer, cremation, prayer ceremony, and ashes placement. Mr. Ng Kim Eng’s prayer ceremony will be held at Gui Yuan Funeral Parlour (Hall 1) in Petaling Jaya on Monday, June 26, 2023, followed by cremation on Tuesday, June 27, 2023. The ashes will be placed at Nirvana Memorial Park, HC15Q16DLO928 (a cremation plot donated by kind-hearted individuals).
