Case No. 1707: After the death of his father, due to the family's poor financial situation, the son is unable to bear the expenses for his funeral. He is sincerely requesting donations.

Mr. Chin Koi Meng, a 76-year-old man, suddenly passed away, leaving his only son unable to afford the unexpected funeral expenses. We are requesting donations from kind-hearted people to help cover the costs of allowing the deceased to complete his final journey in peace.

The deceased's only son, Chin Sit Fan, told us that his father, Chin Koi Meng, had pancreatic cancer and had undergone surgery, which caused him much suffering.

Recently, he had sent his father to the hospital for treatment and was fortunate that his father had survived. When his father was discharged from the hospital, he found a non-profit nursing home for him to stay in, hoping that he would receive better care there and that he would eventually recover and return home to spend his remaining years. However, his father only stayed in the nursing home for a week before the tragic news of his passing was announced, leaving Chin Sit Fan heartbroken.

According to the death report, Mr. Chin Koi Meng passed away on May 1st at 7.39 a.m. due to geriatric disease.

Chin Sit Fan is a factory worker with a meagre income. It's already a struggle for him to take care of his family on a daily basis. He said sadly, "My mother is no longer with us, and my father couldn't make it through this time and passed away like this." Chin Sit Fan is an only child and has no relatives or friends who can help. He doesn't have the financial ability to bear the sudden funeral expenses for his father. Feeling sad and helpless, he turned to Da Ai for help.

We are handling the whole funeral process, which includes body transfer, cremation, a prayer ceremony, and the interment of the ashes. We sincerely call upon everyone to donate for the funeral so he can rest in peace soon.

If anyone is interested in donating for the whole funeral, kindly contact any social workers at Da Ai for more information. Thank you.

Mr. Chin Koi Meng's prayer service will be held at Kwong Tong Funeral Parlour (Hall Q) in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023, followed by cremation on Wednesday, May 3rd, 2023. The ashes will be placed at Kwong Tong Cemetery Tower.
