Case No. 1677 : After the death of the lonely elderly man Mr. Ong Swee Beng, who had no family or relatives to handle his funeral, we earnestly request the help of the enthusiastic public to donate to the funeral.
Mr. Ong Swee Beng, who was 72 years old, had been estranged from his family for a long time. After he passed away in a nursing home, there was no one to handle his funeral. Therefore, we sincerely call upon everyone to donate to his funeral so that he can rest in peace soon.
Mr. Ong Swee Beng was a Parkinson's disease patient who had received assistance from the hospital's social welfare department and was admitted for treatment. However, the hospital's welfare department had been unable to contact his family. Additionally, he was suffering from mobility difficulties, so he was admitted to a non-profit nursing home to receive better care.
In his younger years, Mr. Ong Swee Beng lived with friends. However, due to a fall that left him with mobility issues, as well as Parkinson's disease and advancing age, he had not been able to work for many years. With no family or relatives to care for him, he was placed in a nursing home.
After moving to the non-profit nursing home in Petaling Jaya, Mr. Ong Swee Beng's health had deteriorated significantly. It was with great sadness that we received news of his passing. May he rest in peace, and may we all extend our compassion to help donate to his funeral.
According to the death report issued by the police station at Sungai Way, Mr. Ong Swee Beng passed away at 12.56 p.m. on March 1, 2023, due to geriatric disease.
Under the entrustment of the non-profit nursing home, we are handling the whole funeral process, which includes body transfer, cremation, a prayer ceremony, and the placement of the ashes. We sincerely call upon everyone to donate for the funeral so he can rest in peace soon.

Mr. Ong Swee Beng's prayer service will be held at Gui Yuan Funeral Parlor in Petaling Jaya on Friday, March 3, 2023 (Hall 1), followed by cremation on Saturday, March 4, 2023. The ashes will be placed at Nirvana Memorial Park (HC15-Q17-DB-09-18).
