Case No. 1673: After the elderly mother, Ms. Chan Moi Yook, passed away, her only unemployed son was unable to cope with the sudden funeral expenses. We earnestly request the help of the enthusiastic public to donate to the funeral.

The 77-year-old Ms. Chan Moi Yook was found to be very weak by the staff of the nursing home on the morning of February 22, though she was forced to rely on an oxygen machine to breathe. Unfortunately, she passed away in the nursing home. We sincerely call upon everyone to donate to the funeral so she can rest in peace soon.

Ms. Chan Moi Yook is a patient with Parkinson's disease and diabetes who has always needed family care. She had always lived with her husband before, and her son went to take care of her after getting off work. However, she and her husband divorced just a few years ago, and the son had to work and couldn’t take care of his mother at home, and this was the only way to send his mother to a nursing home at Cheras. Unfortunately, his mother has become very weak in the past six months, and her appetite has decreased a lot.

The son, Mr. Lee Tuck Meng, is married and has a son. He used to be a salesman, but after the Chinese New Year, the company laid off its employees, which made him lose his job instantly. He had just received the heartbreaking news that his mother had passed away. As he was unable to cover his mother's funeral expenses, he entrusted Da Ai with handling the funeral arrangements for his mother so that she could rest in peace.

According to the death report issued by the Police Station Kajang, Selangor, Ms. Chan Moi Yook passed away in a nursing home at 9.15 a.m. on February 22 due to geriatric disease.

We are handling the whole funeral process, which includes body transfer, a Christian memorial ceremony, cremation, and ashes placement. We sincerely call upon everyone to donate for the funeral so she can rest in peace soon.

If anyone is interested in donating for the whole funeral, kindly contact any social workers at Da Ai for more information. Thank you.

The Christian memorial ceremony for Ms. Chan Moi Yook will be held on February 23, 2023 (Thursday) at Kwong Tong Funeral Parlour Kuala Lumpur (Hall R), and the cremation will be held on February 24, 2023 (Friday). The ashes will be sent to Kepong Cemetary Tower, Kuala Lumpur (KA37-5F20).
