Case No. 1670 : The elderly mother, Ms. Tan Lee Choo, passed away in the hospital, and the only daughter was unable to cope with the sudden funeral expenses. We earnestly request the help of the enthusiastic public to donate to the funeral.

The 70-year-old Ms. Tan Lee Choo suffered from kidney disease. She was in a coma for several days in the intensive care unit of the hospital due to the deterioration of her condition, and she passed away due to the illness. The daughter’s income is meager, her father has been gone for many years, and her family is poor and unable to cope with her mother’s funeral. We sincerely call upon everyone to donate to her mother's funeral so she can rest in peace soon.

Ms. Tan Lee Choo's husband passed away many years ago, and she and her only daughter, Yeo Wen Wei, rely on each other for survival. Because of her advanced age and frailty, someone must be by her side to take care of her.

The daughter, Yeo Wen Wei, needs to work and has no time to take care of her mother, so she sends her to a nursing home, hoping to get better care. According to the daughter, her mother was sent to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital for treatment due to illness, but when she came back, her condition suddenly deteriorated, and she was rushed to the Serdang Hospital, where she was in a coma in the intensive care unit for several days. Unfortunately, Ms. Tan Lee Choo failed to overcome the serious illness and passed away in the hospital. The daughter was deeply saddened by the sad news of her mother's death.

According to the death report issued by the hospital, Ms. Tan Lee Choo passed away from illness at 6:41 p.m. on February 13 due to severe sepsis with pneumonia.

Yeo Wen Wei is single and works as a procurement secretary with a meagre salary, so she is incapable of handling her mother's funeral affairs. The grief following her mother's death, as well as the fact that she has suddenly become an orphan with no relatives in the days ahead, makes her only want to hold back her tears and entrust Da Ai to handle the funeral arrangements for her mother, so that her mother can rest in peace.

We are handling the whole funeral process, which includes body transfer, cremation, and a prayer ceremony. We sincerely call upon everyone to donate for the funeral so she can rest in peace soon.

If anyone is interested in donating for the whole funeral, kindly contact any social workers at Da Ai for more information. Thank you.

The prayer ceremony for Ms. Tan Lee Choo will be held on February 15, 2023 (Wednesday) at 1 p.m. at Kwong Tong Funeral Parlour Kuala Lumpur (Hall G), and the cremation will be held on February 16, 2023 (Thursday). The ashes will be sent back to Nilai by her daughter for placement with her husband.
