The 74-year-old Mr. Loke Choi Yan was transferred from Serdang Hospital to a nursing home in Petaling Jaya more than a week ago because he had no family to take care of him. Unfortunately, he passed away after drinking milk for dinner on the evening of January 12. Since there is no one to deal with the funeral of the deceased because he has no family or friends, we sincerely call upon everyone to donate to his funeral so he can rest in peace soon.
What happened to Mr. Loke Choi Yan is heartbreaking as the Lunar New Year approaches. The kind people in the hospital sent him to the nursing home in the hope that he would spend the rest of his life in peace. Unfortunately, bad news approached. He passed away. We hope that he can rest in peace soon.
The staff of this non-profit nursing home informed us that Mr. Loke Choi Yan does not have any family members and is a stroke patient who can only survive by being fed milk through a catheter. More than a week ago, Serdang Hospital sent him to this nursing home because he had no family to take care of him in the hospital for a long time.
At 6.30 p.m. on January 12, the staff of the nursing home fed milk to Mr. Loke Choi Yan. Unexpectedly, this was his last dinner. After 7 p.m., all the elderly go to bed. Not long after, when the staff inspected and prepared to cover each elderly person with a quilt, they found that Mr. Loke Choi Yan was not breathing, so they immediately called the police. When the medical staff arrived, they confirmed that Mr. Loke Choi Yan had passed away peacefully.
According to the death report issued by SG WAY Police Station, Mr. Loke Choi Yan passed away at 8 p.m. on January 12 from geriatric disease.
Since Mr. Loke Choi Yan doesn't have any family members who can handle his funeral, we are handling the whole process for him, which includes the body transfer, cremation, a prayer ceremony, and ash placement. We sincerely call upon everyone to donate for the funeral so he can rest in peace soon.

The prayer ceremony for Mr. Loke Choi Yan will be held on January 16, 2023 (Monday) at Gui Yuan Funeral Parlour Petaling Jaya (Hall 1), and the cremation will be held on January 17, 2023 (Tuesday). The ashes will then be placed at Nirvana Memorial Park (HC13-N16-SL-07-68), donated by kindhearted people.
