Mr. Ooi Chong Keng lives in a nursing home in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. On the 13th of September, around 2.00 pm, the staff of the nursing home found that he was lying on the bed and did not wake up. They contacted the dean and called the police immediately. When the medical staff arrived, it was confirmed that he had passed away.
According to the death report issued by the Sg. Way Police Station, Mr. Ooi Chong Keng passed away at 4.37 pm on 13th September 2022 due to geriatric disease.
Mr. Ooi Chong Keng has three children, and his eldest daughter, Ooi Sit Ling, has always taken care of him. However, because there are many children in the family and she has to work and cannot take care of her elderly father, she sent her father to a nursing home. Mr. Ooi's second son is in charge of taking care of the elderly mother. The youngest son is an OKU, with limited mobility and live difficultly. The three children had hoped that their father would be able to spend his old age peacefully in the nursing home, but the sad news of his father's death made them grief and heartbreaking. Due to their difficult lives, they were unable to handle the unexpected funeral for their father, so the daughter Ooi Sit Ling entrusted Da Ai to handle the funeral for Mr. Ooi Chong Keng.

The prayer service for Mr. Ooi Chong Keng will be held on 15th September 2022 (Thursday) at Gui Yuan Funeral Parlour Petaling Jaya (Hall 2), and the cremation will be held on 16th September 2022 (Friday). The ashes will then be placed at Kepong Crematorium Pagoda KA37 3AF-19.
