Case No. 1525

Single mother Ms. Chan Choy Kuen passed away in hospital due to Advanced Lung Cancer. The eldest son was a retail employee, the second son was an apprentice, and the youngest son was still studying, so they could not afford the unexpected funeral expenses. While grief-stricken, they earnestly request the help of the enthusiastic public by donating to the funeral.

55-year-old Ms. Chan Choy Kuen has three sons. According to the second child, Chang Shen Kwok, her mother went to the clinic to see a doctor because she had been feeling unwell after being vaccinated. But after seeing multiple doctors and taking medicine, she still feels unwell. In the end, the doctor wrote a letter to recommend that she be directly admitted to the hospital for examination, and the medical report confirmed that she was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer.

Ms. Chan Choy Kuen did not give up easily. She knew very well that none of her three sons could lose her. She had gotten a little better after chemotherapy and was awaiting a more detailed CT SCAN. Unfortunately, she failed to fight against the torture of cancer and passed away in the hospital.

The three sons are deeply saddened by the death of their mother. They are the eldest CHANG SHEN JOO, 27 years old, the second child CHANG SHEN KWOK, 25 years old, and the third child CHANG SHEN HONG, 18 years old. The daily living expenses of a family of four depend on the meager income of the eldest and the second child. As the three brothers lived very hard and were unable to cope with the unexpected funeral expenses, Mr. Chang Shen Kwok entrusted us to handle of his mother's funeral.

According to the death report issued by the hospital, Ms. Chan Choy Kuen passed away at 1.17 pm on 10th August 2022 due to Advanced Lung Cancer.

The death of the loving mother made the three sons heartbreaking, and the social workers of Da Ai continued to provide condolences.
