Case No. 1512

Taiwanese musician Mr. Chang Cheng Tsung came to Malaysia for an exchange meeting more than a month ago but unfortunately passed away due to COVID-19. Due to the impact of the pandemic and the financial difficulties, his family was unable to enter the country to cope with this unexpected situation. Therefore, we earnestly request the help of the enthusiastic public by donating for the funeral.

The 47-year-old Chang Cheng Tsung, also known as Jason, is also a singer. He has written beautiful songs for countless singers, such as S.H.E, Fish Leong, Zhang Xianzi, Nicholas Teo, Maggie Chiang Mei-chi, and many more. He should have had a bright future, but unfortunately, he passed away in a foreign country. His passing is extremely heartbreaking.

More than a month ago, he came here for a meeting and looking for friends. On July 7, when friends were going out for dinner, they knocked on the door and called him, but there was no response. When a friend opened the door and entered to check, he found that Mr. Chang had no signs of life, so he immediately called the police. The medical staff then arrived at the scene and confirmed that Mr. Chang had passed away.

According to the death report issued by the hospital, Mr. Chang Cheng Tsung passed away at 9.47 pm on July 7 due to COVID-19.

Mr. Chang Cheng Tsung has written beautiful songs for countless singers. With his "authentic" musical skills from a musical family, he performed his new creation for the first time, and moved everyone with his gentle and rocky singing voice. "Music is not a dream, but something you should be born with," is his motto.

It is a pity that things have changed. Even though he has produced songs for many famous singers, due to the impact of the pandemic and the family's financial difficulties, they cannot enter the country to handle the funeral for Mr. Chang. His sister entrusted Da Ai to handle the funeral in Malaysia, and hoped that the enthusiastic public from Taiwan and Malaysia could help with the funeral by donating for it.

We are handling the whole funeral process for the deceased. Since this is a death case due to COVID-19, we had to send the remains to be cremated immediately before any processes of the funeral. We must strictly abide by the SOP given by the Ministry of Health (KKM) to handle the whole process of the funeral, which included body transfer, cremation, prayer service, ashes placement. If anyone is interested in donating for the whole funeral, kindly contact any social workers of Da Ai for more information. Thank you.

As a warm reminder, the main reason for the rapid rise in confirmed cases in our country is that the Omicron variant BA.5 is highly infectious. Therefore, please continue to strictly abide by the SOP. Do not take it lightly, protect yourself and your family.

The prayer service will be held on 2nd August 2022 (Tuesday) at Kwong Tong Parlour Kuala Lumpur (Hall L), and the funeral procession will be held on 3rd August 2022 (Wednesday). The ashes will then send back to Taiwan for placement.
