Case No. 1501

AN NI CHAY, a young Burmese, and his brother came to Malaysia to work, hoping to develop a better life. Unexpectedly, he passed away in a foreign land after only one month. His elder brother was unable to cope with the expenses of his brother's funeral. Therefore, we earnestly request the help of the enthusiastic public by donating for his funeral.

The handsome 18-year-old AH NI CHAY came to Malaysia with his elder brother MAUNG NYUNT. They went to Johor to seek refuge with friends and worked in a steel factory to repair mechanical parts. He was an iron factory worker. It is pitiful that he passed away in a foreign country before he made any money.

Since July 7, AN NI CHAY has been unwell, unable to excrete, cough, and eat. A friend introduced them to Klang to see a doctor. He and his brother also agreed to come to Klang from Johor to see the doctor, because they could find Myanmar friends to help them solve the language communication problem.

A few days later, the elder brother brought his younger brother to see the doctor in Klang. At that time, because of the language barrier, when a Myanmar friend came to the clinic for help, AN NI CHAY passed away in less than 5 minutes. The remains were taken to the hospital by the police for an autopsy. According to the death report, AN NI CHAY passed away at 10.30 am on July 12 .

The elder brother, MAUNG NYUNT, said with grief that the two brothers left their hometown and came to Malaysia to work. They thought they would be able to remit money back to their hometown so that their poor and elderly parents could have a better life. No one expected that the younger brother passed away so suddenly.

MAUNG NYUNT lost his job temporarily to accompany his younger brother to see a doctor in Klang because his younger brother was ill. He is unable to handle the funeral for his younger brother, so he entrusted Da Ai to help him.

We are handling the whole funeral process, which included body transfer, cremation, prayer service, and the ashes will be brought back to his hometown by his elder brother for placement. We sincerely call upon everyone to donate for his funeral so he can rest in peace soon.

If anyone is interested in donating for the whole funeral, kindly contact any social workers of Da Ai for more information. Thank you.

Due to the infectious nature of the remains and the fact that it has been decomposed for many days after death, the hospital suggested that the remains must be cremated first before the prayer service.

The prayer service for Mr. AH NI CHAY will be held on 20th July 2022 (Wednesday) at Gui Yuan Funeral Crematorium Petaling Jaya, and the funeral ceremony will be held on 21st July 2022 (Thursday). The ashes will be brought back to Myanmar by his elder brother for placement.
