A delivery man, Mr. Yap Wai Wah was found dead after being infected with the COVID-19 virus for many days. However, his father with Alzheimer’s disease and his ex-wife were unable to cope with the unexpected funeral expenses. Therefore, we earnestly request the help of enthusiastic public by donating for his funeral.

46-year-old Mr. Yap Wai Wah was a LALAMOVE delivery man. On July 8 (Friday), the security guard of the residential area received a complaint from the neighbor that he smelled a foul odor. So the guard came to Mr. Yap’s house to take a look and found blood. He then immediately called the police. After the police and firefighters arrived the scene and broke into the house, they found Mr. Yap lying in front of the house. After examination by paramedics, it was confirmed that he had passed away for more than 3 days.

Mr. Yap Wai Wah lives with his elderly father at Happy Garden in Kuala Lumpur. As the father has Alzheimer’s disease, even the son didn’t call him, he just thought his son was sleeping and didn’t even know that his son had passed away. The poor father can only eat some solid food by himself when he is hungry, and he still does not know that his son had passed away.

Yap Wai Wah has been separated from his wife for 5 years and has 2 daughters, one is 17 and the other is 15. Both daughters lives with their mother, and the father have not met with them for a long time because of the pandemic. The ex-wife LOW LAY PENG is an accountant. Usually, she, as a single mother, takes care of her two underage daughters. Her life is already difficult, so she is unable to handle the sudden death of her ex-husband. Therefore, she entrusts us to handle the funeral of Mr. Yap.

According to the death report, Mr. Yap Wai Wah passed away on July 6 due to COVID-19.

Since this is a death case of COVID-19, we must strictly abide by the SOP given by the Ministry of Health(KKM) to handle the whole funeral process. We will first carry out body transfer and cremation before the prayer service and ashes placement. We sincerely call upon everyone to donate for his funeral so he can rest in peace soon.

The prayer service will be held on 12nd July 2022 (Tuesday) at Gui Yuan Funeral Parlour (Room 3) , and the cremation will be held on 13th July 2022 (Wednesday). The ashes will then be placed at Kwong Tong Pagoda Columbarium.
