The late Mr Tong Ong Fuu (61) passed away at Kuala Lumpur General Hospital as a result of terminal lung cancer. Since his children are unable to cope with such sudden incident they seek help from all generous individuals across the nation to render some donations for the funeral expenses so the departed can rest in peace.

Mr Tong (61) who worked as a civil construction worker came from Rawang. He was rushed to the hospital by his son on the 11th this month after suffering from breathing difficulties. He was scheduled to undergo a cancer surgery on the 24th this month, unfortunately he could not live till the date but passed away on the 18th leaving behind his family in grief and sorrow.

Mr Tong Ong Fuu had 4 children. His wife is a housewife. According to the youngest son, lately his father had been in frail health subsequent to lung cancer, diabetes and high blood pressure. In addition, his vision had been deteriorating.

It had been a week since Mr Tong was admitted to the hospital for treatment. His family were hoping that after the anticipated surgery in the following week their father’s conditions would improve. Nobody would expect his leaving so soon thus everyone was saddened.

As indicated in the death report by hospital, Mr Tong passed away on April 18 at 2.12pm during his stay in the hospital. Cause of death was identified as terminal lung cancer.

The 28-year-old youngest son, Tong Kong Bong, is an electrician who only earns a basic living. The elder brother and elder sister are also struggling to make a living therefore they approached Da-Ai to seek help.

Mr Tong’s remains will receive a Buddhist Transcendence Ceremony on April 21 (Thursday) at Gui Yuan Crematorium, Petaling Jaya (Parlour 1) whereas the cremation will take place on April 22 (Friday) with the ashes be placed in Kepong Long Yan Pagoda, Kuala Lumpur.
