Case 1398

A sister is seeking help to bury her brother, Ko Soe (29), who died in a foreign land. Urging kindhearted people across the country to render your financial help to the sister in dealing with the funeral arrangements so her brother who used to work in a restaurant but passed on at such a young age could rest in peace.

Both siblings came from Myanmar to work in Kuala Lumpur, the sister later on changed her job to working in Johor subsequent to retrenchment. When she was informed of the tragic news, she rushed back to Kuala Lumpur just to find her brother’s body going through for autopsy in the hospital, leaving behind much grief and sorrow.

The most unbearable pain is actually the separation between the living and the dead, not more to mention the two siblings who embraced a hope of searching for a better life in a foreign piece of land. Nevertheless, with the brother’s sudden death the sister could not help but burst into tears while the social workers attended to calm her down. Moving on she has to face the future on her own while living alone makes her situation saddening.

In the morning of April 02, Ko Soe was discovered by his roommate in his sleeping position with his eyes half-open. After trying to waken him but to no avail, he then decided to contact the store manager. Due to language barrier, they proceeded to call the police and medical center. When the paramedics arrived, Ko Soe was pronounced dead.

According to the hospital-issued Death Certificate, Ko Soe died of sudden cardiac death at his residence at 9.30am on April 02.

The helpless sister (27) cannot afford to arrange for her brother’s funeral hence she approached Da Ai for assistance. We are entrusted to handle the entire funeral process which includes reclaim of body, Buddhist rituals, cremation and aftermath of the ashes.

Those who are keen to chip in for Mr He Soe’s funeral expenses may contact Da Ai Community Malaysia for more details. Your kind deed will be much appreciated.

A Buddhist transcendence ritual will be held at Gui Yuan Funeral Crematorium Petaling Jaya (Parlour 3) dated April 07 (Thursday), and cremation will be carried out on April 08 (Friday). His sister has opted to scatter the ashes into the sea. May the dead rest in peace.
