Case No. 1388 : A 3-year-old boy, ALEXANDER, suffers from “Early Infantile Epileptic Encephalopathy” and needs crowdfunding of RM44,876.00 for special milk powder and medical fees to save his life. Hence, we sincerely ask the help of everyone to help him get through the difficulties.
ALEXANDER XAVIER ALFRED was diagnosed with Early Infantile Epileptic Encephalopathy two weeks after birth. He developed epileptic spasms at 1 month of age, which also caused stiffness in his left upper and lower limb.
The little boy has been unbale to speak until now, and he is not able to respond to external stimuli like ordinary children. His eyes cannot be fully closed when he sleeps.
He is the second child in the family. There is no such genetic disease in the family of his parents. When his mother heard of such situation, it was like a bolt from the blue, and it was difficult to accept because the disease was life-threatening.
His mother, ERITIKA, said that ALEXANDER went back and forth to the hospital frequently when he was one to two years old, and he could still eat some porridge at that time. However, since January 2022, when his mother fed him food or water, he kept coughing, so his mother rushed him back to the hospital. Unfortunately, the doctor confirmed that he had a problem with his lungs, so he could not eat normally because the food could not enter the stomach but entered his lungs. Thus, he could only survive by taking special milk powder through a nasogastric tube.
To make matters worse, in March of this year, he was also diagnosed with COVID-19. The condition of his lungs was critical as he was not vaccinated. Even though he has recovered, his lungs are still infected with bacteria, which makes him very difficult to breathe, and urgently needs to be hospitalized for treatment using an oxygen machine and medicine.
ALEXANDER also has an 8-year-old older brother. Their family of 4 is from Sabah and currently lives in Puchong, Selangor. His mother is a housewife, and now she is pregnant again and is scheduled to give birth in April this year, so she cannot fully take care of her son in the hospital. However, at present, she is the only one taking care of ALEXANDER in the hospital although she is pregnant. Hence, she is physically and mentally exhausted and under too much pressure. ALEXANDER’s father, ALFRED BIN ALBERT, is an air-conditioning maintenance worker. In order to support his family, as well as his son’s medical and special milk powder expenses, he can only work hard in the field for a long time. However, since his meager income was far enough to cover the expenses of his child, he had no choice but to ask us for help and entrusted us to handle the crowdfunding for a total of RM44,876.00 for two years.

Total: RM 44,876.00
