Case 1369 : 72-year-old Mr. Voo Nyok Po commit suicide by falling himself from a building and passed away after being diagnosed with COVID-19. The family of Mr. Voo is poor until cannot afford the funeral expenses.
Therefore, we sincerely call upon everyone to donate for the funeral of Mr. Voo Nyok Po.
Mr. Voo Nyok Po lived in a free nursing home in Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur. He left the nursing home and disappeared when the incident happened. On the 9th of March, he was found dead after he commit suicide by falling himself from a nearby HDB flat. The residents informed the police immediately after the incident.
After the investigation by the police, it was confirmed that Mr. Voo Nyok Po has been diagnosed with COVID-19. The police also believe that Mr. Voo could not accept the fact of being sick and chose to commit suicide, leaving infinite regrets to the world.
According to the death report issued by Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Mr. Voo Nyok Po fell from an HDB flat in Kuala Lumpur at 6.45 am on 9th March 2022, resulting in multiple serious injuries and death.
The two daughters and a son of the deceased were told about the sad news of the death of their father only after receiving a notification from the police. Thinking that their father could not stand the huge pressure of being sick, and he chose not to explain the reasons to his children but give up his life, the children did not have time to persuade and could not undo the tragedy, which made them heartbroken and grief-stricken.
Although the police contacted Mr. Voo Nyok Po’s children, their income is meager, they are poor, and they are unable to cope with the unexpected funeral expenses. In desperation, his son Mr. Voo asked us for help to deal with the funeral of his father and hope to get donations from enthusiastic people.
As the deceased was diagnosed with COVID-19, we had to send the remains to be cremated immediately before any processes of the funeral. We must strictly abide by the SOP given by the Ministry of Health (KKM) to handle the whole process of his funeral, which included body transfer, cremation, memorial service, and ashes placement.

The late Mr. Voo Nyok Po’s ashes are currently placed at Kwong Tong Cemetery Kuala Lumpur for prayers on 14th March 2022 (Monday), and his ashes will be also placed at Kwong Tong Cemetery Kuala Lumpur on 15th March 2022 (Tuesday).
