Based on the records and the impact of the long-term end of the pandemic, we believe that more than 1,000 families or unfortunate people will turn to us for help this year. Every time we go through strict scrutiny before sending supplies to those who need help. These supplies include daily necessities, with as little as RM100 to 500. If it is medical equipment and medical aid, it may be as much as RM8,000 or more.
The aid supplies vary from case to case, but on average each family can receive RM300 in aid, so 1,000 unfortunate families need RM300,000 to help them.
Persatuan Kebajikan Amal Da Ai Malaysia is a non-profit charity platform. Since our establishment in 2017, we have helped 2,382 unfortunate families. Only with the help and donations of everyone can we help more unfortunate families and go further.
As the end of the pandemic is still far away, we believe that in the following days, the number of unfortunate families who turn to us for help will increase significantly. Therefore, we sincerely ask everyone to contribute whether funds or strength to help these unfortunate and vulnerable groups. We firmly believe that there is love in the world. We hope that everyone will help more unfortunate families together with us.
Although the pandemic has not ended, the risk of going out is still very high, but our social workers still visit them in person to deliver supplies and send love because they really need our help. Many people have lost their jobs and income, and their businesses have been forced to close down. They are in dire straits for a while, and even food is a problem. Especially single-parent families, families with mentally handicapped and disabled members, families with seriously ill members, and lonely elderly, their plight is even more critical.
Although the society also launched a white flag campaign to help them. But the relief campaign was short-lived and had many shortcomings because not everyone in need is getting help. As it is not a long-term solution, so there is no way to address their chronic living shortages. Da-Ai Poverty Alleviation is one of our four major aid programs, which is also the most requested program. The home visit is our long-term service program. Our systematic home visits and love really help a lot of people. After the home visit, these cases will be uploaded to our official Facebook page to let the public know that we truly help unfortunate families.
