Case No. 1333 : Father Cheah Ah Ming, a car mechanic, passed away of stage IV lung cancer. The income of his 23-year-old son was so meager that he could not cope with the unexpected funeral expense. Therefore, we earnestly request the help of everyone by donating for the funeral expense of Mr. Cheah Ah Ming.

57-year-old Cheah Ah Ming was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer last February because of not feeling well. He is a car mechanic. As his condition is not optimistic, he has quit his job to concentrate on recuperating at home and undergoing 4 chemotherapy treatments. The financial burden of the family is borne by his 23-year-old son Cheah Zi Foong and his mother.

After we got to know Cheah Zi Foong, we knew that he is currently working as a customer service employee, while his mother works in a plastics factory and his sister is still studying. Due to the death of the head of the family, and his and his mother's income was meager, so the sudden death of their father caught them off guard, and they could not cope with the expenses of the funeral of his father. Hence, they had to ask for help from Da Ai.

Cheah Zi Foong told us sadly that his father failed to fight against the illness. On the afternoon of Thursday, 6th of this month, his father was lying on the sofa and soon lost consciousness after saying that he was not feeling well and had difficulty breathing. His mother and sister quickly contacted him, who was working. Cheah Zi Foong received the message at about 4.30 pm and quickly arranged for an ambulance to help, while he rushed home to see his father. However, when he got home, the ambulance team of Red Crescent Society informed him that his father had passed away.

According to the death report issued by the hospital, Mr. Cheah Ah Ming passed away of stage IV lung cancer at home at 6.00 pm on 6th January 2022.

We are handling the whole process of Mr. Cheah’s funeral, which included body transfer, cremation, memorial service, and scatter the ashes into the sea according to the wishes of his family. We sincerely call upon everyone to donate for his funeral so he can rest in peace soon.

The late Mr. Cheah Ah Ming’s remains are currently placed at Gui Yuan Funeral Crematorium Petaling Jaya Room 3 for prayers on 10th January 2022 (Monday). The cremation will be held on 11th January 2022 (Tuesday), and his ashes will then be scattered into the sea according to the wishes of his family.
