Case No. 1327 : The father passed away due to COVID-19. This tragedy happened to be his son’s birthday, which made his son grieve. The son suffered from his inability to cope with the sudden funeral expenses.
Therefore, we earnestly request the help of everyone so the father can rest in peace soon. 63-year-old Wong Fok lived alone in Kuala Lumpur. He was a driver with a meager income. What is even sad is that he passed away in the car when he reached the end of his life.
On the second day of the beginning of 2022, on Sunday, January 2, he was found unconscious in the car by passersby. At that time, the car parked on the side of the road in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur. Passers-by quickly called the police, and the police and an ambulance arrived at the scene. The medical staff confirmed that Wong Fok had passed away, and the police subsequently contacted the two children of Mr. Wong to inform them of the terrible news.
After Mr. Wong Fok's remains were sent to Hospital Kuala Lumpur for examination, the hospital confirmed that he passed away due to the COVID-19 virus. According to the death report, he passed away due to the COVID-19 virus at 5.35 pm on January 2, 2022.
With our help, the son of Mr. Wong Fok wore a PPE protective suit and went to the hospital to claim the remains. The scene he watched his father be sealed and sent to cremation strictly and quickly was bleak.
The son of Wong Fok told us that his father and mother had divorced more than 20 years ago. He takes care of his mother, while his sister has been married to another place and just have a new born baby. It is inconvenient for his sister to travel long distances to deal with Mr. Wong Fok's affairs.
The son of Wong Fok works in a newspaper. His salary is low, in addition, he needs to take care of his mother. For a while, he can't afford his father's funeral expenses, so he has to ask Da Ai for help.
We are handling the whole funeral of Mr. Wong. Since this is a case of death due to the COVID-19 virus, we had to send the remains to be cremated immediately before any processes of the funeral. We must strictly abide by the SOP given by the Ministry of Health (KKM) to handle the whole process of his funeral, which included body transfer, cremation, memorial service, and ashes placement. We sincerely ask the help of everyone by donating for Mr. Wong’s funeral.
The late Mr. Wong’s remains are currently placed at Gui Yuan Funeral Crematorium Petaling Jaya strictly following the SOP for prayers on 5th January 2022 (Wednesday). The cremation will be held on 6th January 2022 (Thursday), and he will be rested in Kepong Cemetery Tower Kuala Lumpur KA37/6F-18.
