On December 7th (Tuesday), 77-year-old Lim Kaw was found by his second son who got up early that he committed suicide at home. Mr. Lim Kaw suffered from stomachache for a long time, and his wife, unfortunately, had a stroke a few days ago and was admitted to the ICU of the hospital for treatment. Faced with the torture of economic pressure, the exhausted elderly chose to end his life by committing suicide.
According to the death report issued by Hospital Selayang, Selangor, Mr. Lim Kaw, who lives in Rawang, committed suicide and passed away at home on December 7th (Tuesday) at 8.20 am.
Lim Kaw has three children. The daughter is married to Johor, and he lives with his wife and two sons. The eldest son is a decorator with a meager income, while the second son is an OKU and he was unable to work normally due to the lost of his two fingers on his left hand. As the incident happened too sudden, the mother suffered stroke and was hospitalized, the sons had no savings to cope with the funeral expenses of Mr. Lim Kaw. Hence, they seek for our help.
After communicating with the eldest son of the deceased, the social worker knew that his father had a serious stomachache and could not relieve the pain although took a lot of medicine. However, he did not expect that his father would choose to commit suicide after his mother was sent to the hospital.
This is a tragedy caused by the entanglement of poverty and disease. We request everyone to ask us for help if you face any difficulties in life. Every problem surely will have solutions. So please do not hurt yourself, and do not leave great pain to your family.

The remains of late Mr. Lim Kaw will place at his home for prayers and memorial service on 9th December 2021 (Thursday). The cremation will be held on the next day, 10th December 2021 (Friday), and his ashes will be placed at Kepong Cemetery Tower Kuala Lumpur KA37 6F-17.
