After being abandoned by her family, Yap Mei Foong was admitted to the nursing home for free. According to the nursing home's explanation, her wound became serious last month and needed to go to the hospital for two operations. After she was discharged from the hospital for the first operation, she felt unwell, and then she suffered from breathing difficulties and was sent back to the hospital for treatment. Later, she was diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus and needed to be hospitalized, but in the end, she passed away.

Due to the financial difficulties of the nursing home during the pandemic, it was unable to cope with the funeral expenses, so we had been entrusted to handle Ms. Yap's funeral. Therefore, we will handle the whole funeral process of Ms. Yap and we would like to call upon everyone to help us.

The staff at the nursing home told us that Ms. Yap Mei Foong need to undergo two operations. She felt unwell after she was discharged from the hospital for the first operation, and then she had difficulty breathing and was sent back to the hospital for emergency treatment. After Ms. Yap had been hospitalized, the staff tried to call the hospital to follow up on her condition, only to know that Ms. Yap was diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus. The doctor said that her situation was serious.

The hospital informed the nursing home that the bacteria infected with Ms. Yap's wound had spread throughout the body during the rescue. In addition, she was diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus, her lung was almost can't function and she passed away. It is helpless for the hospitals to give treatments for elderly patients who lack immunity and were diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus again.

According to the death report issued by Hospital Shah Alam, 50-year-old Ms. Yap Mei Foong passed away due to the COVID-19 virus in the hospital at 7.05 pm on July 21.

This is another tragedy in which the patient went to the hospital for treatment and unfortunately cross-infected the COVID-19 virus. The hospital was originally the safest place to treat patients and save lives. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the hospital is also in danger. We are very helpless and can only hope that this pandemic can be controlled as soon as possible. Since the remains of COVID-19 were not allowed to be kept for long, we had to send the remains to be cremated immediately before any processes of the funeral. We must strictly abide by the SOP given by the Ministry of Health (KKM) to handle the whole process of his funeral, which included body transfer, cremation, memorial service, and ashes placement. If anyone is interested in donation for the whole funeral service, kindly contact us for more information. Thank you.

The late Ms. Yap’s ashes are currently placed at Jishantang Rawang strictly following the SOP for prayers on 16th August 2021 (Monday). She will be rested in Kepong Cemetery Tower Kuala Lumpur KA37/2F-19 on 17th August 2021 (Tuesday).

We would like to remind everyone to strictly abide by the SOP during this COVID-19 pandemic as the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases continues to increase and has exceeded 1.3 million. Take care and stay safe.
