Case No. 1184 : Mr. Ong Kiat See, who went to the hospital for treatment alone, passed away in the hospital due to a heart attack. There are no family or relatives who claim his remains and handle his funeral after his death. The rapid increase in the number of deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic has made it impossible for the hospital to keep his remains for a long time. Therefore, we have been entrusted to handle Mr. Ong's funeral.

Mr. Ong Kiat See passed away in Hospital Shah Alam for more than a month. Since the hospital has been unable to contact the family members, they entrusted us with help. Although our social workers worked very hard to contact the relatives of Mr. Ong, the relatives who live far away were unable to be present to handle Mr. Ong's funeral because of the pandemic.

Therefore, they had to entrust DaAi to handle Mr. Ong's funeral. We call upon everyone to donate to deal with Mr. Ong's funeral. According to the Hospital Shah Alam, the 71-year-old Mr. Ong Kiat See passed away on June 23 due to a heart attack. His remains have been placed in the hospital morgue as he has no relatives around him to handle his funeral. Therefore, we hope that everyone can help and donate for his funeral expenses.

As the pandemic is almost out of control, almost all front-line government hospitals in Selangor are overloaded. In addition to facing a serious shortage of medical equipment and doctors and nurses, even the ambulance and the morgue where the remains are stored cannot cope with it. The remains of some hospitals can only be placed outdoors in temporary tents waiting for handling. Besides, any remains need to line up for cremation because even the cremation field is full.

This situation directly affects the treatment of common diseases. Some resources originally for treating common diseases were forced to be invested to cope with patients with COVID-19 disease. Mr. Ong Kiat See, who suffered from heart disease, was also affected by this situation, and even if he passed away, he could not be stored in the hospital for a long time. Because the condition of the remains was horrible, we can only seal the coffin directly after confirming the remains. To prevent the smell of the remains from flowing out, we need to refer to the way of handle the remains of COVID-19 patients. The remains need to wrap completely, and tactfully refuse outsiders to view his appearance.

After receiving the entrustment of the hospital and the relatives of Mr. Ong, Daai will handle the whole process of his funeral, which included body transfer, cremation, memorial service, and ashes placement, on behalf of the family members. Therefore, we would like to ask everyone to donate to deal with Mr. Ong's funeral service.

The late Mr. Ong’s ashes are currently placed at Jishantang Rawang strictly following the SOP for prayers on 5th August 2021 (Thursday). The cremation will be held on 6th August 2021 (Friday), and he will be rested in Kepong Cemetery Tower Kuala Lumpur KA37/7F-20.

We call upon everyone to donate for Mr. Ong’s funeral service. If anyone is interested in donation for the whole funeral service or go to worship, kindly contact us for more information. Th
