Case No. 1162 : Donation for the Funeral Service of late COVID-19 patient, Ong Beng Teck.

35-year-old Ong Beng Teck lived alone in rented a house in Kepong. When the epidemic began, he stopped his work of selling electrical appliances components. His 71-year-old parents live in Petaling Jaya and have retired for many years. When his father visited him on the 5th of July (Monday), he had already stated that he was unwell.

Two days later, on the 7th of July (Wednesday), his father told him to go to treatment if he was still unwell. When he talked with his mother at around 8 pm on 8th of July (Thursday), he said that he had difficulty breathing.

On the morning of July 9th (Friday), his family wanted to call him but no one answered him. The worried parents immediately called the family members who lived near Kepong to visit him.

However, he had already passed away in bed. Because the incident happened so suddenly, the parents who loved their son were very distressed and were unable to make up the funeral expenses in a hasty, so they entrusted us to handle the whole process of Mr. Ong's funeral.

Therefore, we would like to ask everyone to donate to deal with his funeral service.

Since the remains of COVID-19 were not allowed to be kept for long, we had to send the remains to be cremated immediately. However, as the number of people who passed away from COVID-19 has risen sharply, the remains now have to queue for cremation.

As COVID-19 being the cause of death, we must strictly abide by the SOP given by the Ministry of Health (KKM) to handle the whole process of his funeral, which included body transfer, cremation, memorial service, and ashes placement. The entire process of the transfer and cremation of the remains was carried out under the supervision of Ministry of Health officials.

If anyone is interested in financing the whole funeral service, kindly contact us for more information. Thank you.

The late Mr. Ong's ashes are currently placed at Jishantang Jinjang (Room 6) strictly following the SOP for prayers and cremation on 16th July 2021 (Friday). He will be rested in Kepong Cemetery Tower Kuala Lumpur 9F-19 on 17th July 2021 (Saturday).

We call upon everyone to donate for Mr. Ong’s funeral service. We would also like to remind everyone to strictly abide by the SOP during this COVID-19 pandemic as the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases has risen to 10,000 cases, and we have been entrusted to handle 6 deaths from this disease. Take care and stay safe.
