Case No. 1110: Donation for the Funeral Service of Late COVID-19 Patient Elma Valdriz Ople.

56-year-old Ex-Philippine resident and current permanent resident of Malaysia, Elma Valdriz Ople has passed due to COVID-19 virus. Her 23-year-old only daughter is unable to finance her mother’s funeral service, hence she has entrusted us to manage Elma’s funeral service and we urge everyone to donate.

Since this is a COVID-19 virus-related case, we strictly abided by the latest SOP of KMM and have immediately sent the remains of Elma Valdriz Ople for cremation after claiming them. A memorial service and ash interment will be held later. The entire process of cremation must be carried out under the latest pandemic SOP.

She was a severe diabetes patient and had undergone an amputation on her left leg in Hospital Selayang this April. However, after returning home from her surgery, she had difficulties in breathing and was tested positive for COVID-19 virus. The doctors and nurses tried their best to save her, but due to her medical history of severe diabetes, she passed in just 18 days.

We are devastated to receive such news. Since all government hospitals are focusing on COVID-19 vaccinations and treatments, patients who are suffering from other illnesses have more risks exposing to the deadly virus and the lack of medical resources. We hope the global pandemic can be controlled as soon as possible so that such tragedy does not happen again.

A memorial service for late Elma Valdriz Ople will be held at Jishantang, Rawang today (9th June 2021, Wednesday) and she will be rested in Kwong Tong Cemetery Tower Kuala Lumpur the next day (10th June 2021, Thursday).

Elma’s only daughter and 23-year-old singleton Angel Geoffery was a temporary worker in McDonald’s but she has lost her income during the pandemic. she has entrusted us to fully manage her mother’s funeral service. Ex-Philippine resident Elma was a Christian. She was married in Malaysia for many years and held a red NRIC (Permanent resident of Malaysia). Her husband has passed.
