56-year-old Sarawakian Petrus Tay worked in Kuala Lumpur before his passing due to the COVID-19 virus. Due to the pandemic, his brother cannot take care of Petrus’ funeral matters. As the remains of Mr. Tay were not allowed to be kept for long, we have been entrusted to fully manage his funeral service. The staff had sent the remains of Petrus for cremation. We would like to ask everyone to donate for his remaining funeral service.

According to Kiwe Tay’s (Petrus’ brother) police report at Padawan Police Station, Sarawak, he cannot visit the West Malaysia due to the pandemic. Hence, he has entrusted Puan Alum anak Apin and us to manage the funeral service on behalf his family. We call upon everyone to donate.

Based on the death certificate issued by Hospital Selayang, the late Petrus Tay passed away at 2.39 A.M., 3rd May 2021, with the cause of death being coronavirus. Hospital Selayang is a designated hospital for COVID-19 screening and treatment.

After receiving the entrustment, we have claimed the remains of late Mr. Petrus and sent them for cremation on 5th May 2021. Staff were required to equip themselves with full protections prior to picking up the remains and the entire process of remains transfer and cremation were carried out under the supervision of Ministry of Health officials.

Petrus’ memorial service must strictly follow the SOP given by the Ministry of Health (KKM); A few days’ time were too required to ensure the safety of the ashes. His memorial service will be held at Jishantang, Rawang today (10th May 2021, Monday), Unfortunately that Petrus’ relatives who intend visit to the memorial ceremony are under quarantine at the moment and only can participate by virtual via video call. He will be rested in Kwong Tong Cemetery Tower Kuala Lumpur on 11th May 2021 (Tuesday).
